Logomark, identity, and concept for E Type︎, an imagined digital foundry dedicated to experimentation and energetic type.

Taking advantage of popular advertising tropes such as the infamous sky backdrop discussed by Elizabeth Goodspeed in Eye on Design, E Type’s brand is both trendy and timeless, its eclectic mix of type and hazy illustrations driving it towards a cheeky kind of absurd. The identity combines playful type from Velvetyne and OhNo Type, further expanding the brand’s whimsical typographic palette.

Custom logomark drawn to establish E Type’s distinctive typographic voice and color story. The script letter takes inspiration from vintage film titles and the Spencerian script style, producing a kind of nostalgic sense of Americana.

Large-scale advertising materials bring the identity into urban space, evincing the system’s strategic use of typographic texture, layering, and dreamy photography.

Extended wordmark incorporates a custom butterfly glyph, adding an additional illustrative element to the identity’s vibrant palette.

Apparel designs take advantage of the strong graphic elements of the logotype and the system’s vibrant color palette.
